The couple I saw on a bench at the Opera House.
I super love this shot :) I totally <33>
Bella workshop day 1
So i got to central at 4 and met up with the others kids. They kinda
looked like boarders. All of them were white and one was Indian. After
everyone arrived we all crammed ourselves into a van and w
ent to the Y
city south hotel. Wow this place is nice. We all got a room each and
haha it's so good :) after settling in at 6, we went to dinner- a Thai
restaurant down the street. I ordered yellow chicken curry :D Yums.
Talked with the kids and btw, they're all 17-18. I'm the youngest lol.
The dinner was good and yeah happy. Came back to the hotel, went on
the roof and the view is magnificent. I'm back in my room a
ns doing
truong hw and watching the big bang theory. So comfortable.

Day 2

Woke up at 8:30 and walked to train station, went to circul
ar quay,
and into the mca

After that we had more random painting where we basically just dipped
random objects into paint and splash them onto paper haha s
o cool!
Then painted some more and more.
We stayed at the MCA till 3. We then went to the rocks, viewed some
galleries, caught a monorail, got off, discussed what we wanted to do
then decided to get dinner then watch Alice in wonderland at Imax!!
But unfortunately Alice wasn't available so we ended up watching
avatar. Ate calamari and chips :) After the movie we went caught a
taxi back to hotel, did more truong hw then slept.

Day 3
Like yesterday we woke up, took a train to circular quay. Instead of
waiting in front of the mca for it t open, we walked over to the opera
house and we.. well basically just me, took a lot of pics and relaxed
with a new friends on the slants and watched the chinese tourists do..
Touristy stuff! LOL ; I earned a nickname 'tourist' for my
constant
confusion and habit of taking pics of everything :L

We stayed for like an hr then we went into the mca, looked
at another
gallery level, then back to the white studio. The guides introduced us
to silicon models. I made my theme for my part of the exhibition :
LOST so I chose a key to make a model of. It was kinda painful doing
the clay pressing and filljg in the cracks but in the end I did it! :)
Pictures at the bottom of the page/facebook. While letting my mould
set, I did my thread piece where's there's a lot of coloured threads
and each threads shows a different story. So yeah :D the guides seemed
to like the idea but I kinda got it from heroes (if you guys still
remember) After that we started and finished out bag and tee s
hirt
designs where basically we get a quote (mine was "to fly is to be
free") and tomrw we will be print making it onto shirts and bags :D
yayers!

After mca, we trained it to central where we visited 'First D
raft', a
gallery where they showcase new artists in a rather.. Simplstic and
cheapish shack. The works were unusual and a bit creepy but pretty
cool. There was a piece about melting coloured toilets, 4 hanging
masks suspended from the ceiling, boxed clock controlled butterflies
in a box and yeah it was pretty awesome! :D after that we had dinner
which was an Italian retaurant down at the rocks. The shop is so cute
and the food was great. I got a lasagne ; others had pizza and octopus
salad LOL! We were pretty exhausted at this point so we decid
ed to
just go back to the hotel with some leftover pizzas, freshen up, get
into out jamies, then go up to the roof, take in the city landscape
and yeah, just relax. The kids here are so cool and I'm really
surprised at how well I got along with them. They all have good
morals, come from different parts of australia (two of my most talked
to friends come from dubbo) but yeah, all of us just clicked! Looking
forward to tomrw.

Day 4

Trained to circular quay again to mca. Was early so we just sat at he
benches in front of a balcony overlooking the habour and bridge :)
took alot photos and yeah it was a good fun use of time. Walked to the
other side of the mca and bussed it Sydney university where we met
with a guy that explained everything abt silkscreens and how to use
it. Then we whipped out some paper and began re-printing out designs!
They all looked awesome! Then we whipped out the white tees and bags
the mca gave us and printer out designs ont them! How cool aye? I
kinda stuffed mine up but :/ it's ok, I can live with it. Went back to
mca, recarved my silicon-moulded keys, and planned our exhibit for
tomrw. The guides really liked my LOST banner so they're planning to
put it on the roofish column where you automically see straig
ht away
when you walk in! Kekekekek lol so happy :)

After mca we walked to the ferry walfs and caught a ferry down to
Manly :) the ride was so fun with andria and Brooke- i took so many
pictures! But damn Chris and Hayden kept blasting their trance tb
music non stop the whole time :L got there, got a slushie, went to the
beach, rolled up my jeans and jumped in with everyone else :) it was
so fun and yeah..fun :) Again, like the tourist that I am, I took lots
and lots of pics hehehe. After Beach we walked around manly
trying to
find a nice restaurant to eat at. We chose a pizza parlour and yeah It
was so good. Got gelato next: passionfruit and forest berries (L)
Caught the ferries back, took more photos of the bridge and such
(night time photography is hard) sigh then trained it back home where
I worked on my lil cards to put on my thread instillation. Exhibit and
last day tomrw. I've had a blast these couple of days and the people
that I have met- I will never forget you guys! Ok, exhibit tomrw! Wish
me luck!! :D

Day 5 - The Exhibition

Got ready and walked to redfern station as per usual. Trained it to MCA, had
an hour to break so we went to go get some coffee. Then we just sat around waiting,
while i made more of my cards to stick up on the column that was going to be my
main piece. So yeah, we got in, spent like 3-4 hrs getting the room ready, hanging up
our works and everything. By 2, people started coming in! Thanks mom for coming :)
Ah! I was so awesome! I got to meet syd. uni art teachers, the CEO of The Museum
Of Contemporary Arts and some arts journalist that wanted to interview me! :D:D
Everyone actually really liked my column thing and yeah, they kept asking me the
story behind it :) So theres a guy and a girl and they're going thru a breakup. The lines
represent them and yeah, the cards just shows their thoughts, anger, emotions throughout
the breakup. I may have made some things up about a girl with a diary left at the Opera
House benches but haha, no one needs to know that :L By 3,
the thing was finished :(
Thanks for this awesome experience. I will not forget you guys and all that the MCA have done
for me! :D
